Devon Adams

he/him

Devon Adams is the Co-founder of Collective Justice, a Seattle based restorative justice organization that focuses on systemic transformation by centering the dignity and resilience of all people impacted by violence, where he serves as Community Engagement Director. Over the past two decades, Devon has contributed to the growth and wellbeing of incarcerated individuals across Washington state through his participation and leadership in the Black Prisoners Caucus and the Concerned Lifers Organization. In his commitment to ensuring that incarcerated people are both seen and heard, he built strong relationships that led to an increased number of community members entering the prisons to provide essential programming.

Devon holds a Bachelors in Specialized Studies from Ohio University through the University Beyond Bars program. Mr. Adams is also a graduate of the HEAL program; a 54 week restorative justice circle for individuals who have contributed to and experienced serious harm. He uses his experience and training to further community healing efforts. As an experienced speaker and facilitator, Devon continues to work with young people, school administrators and community members to offer opportunities for education and engagement in restorative models and practices. His commitment to help build safe and healthy communities is central to his own process of healing and accountability.
